How we handle your data.

Who we are

Tamooh Scientific supplies microbiology quality-control products to laboratories in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from a base in Riyadh. We are the controller of the personal data described below. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights set out at the end, write to sales@tamoohscientific.com.sa.

What we collect, and when

Apart from the website analytics described below, we only collect personal data that you type into one of our forms. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not buy or enrich contact data from third parties.

Contact form

Your name, company name, email address, phone number, the nature of your enquiry, and whatever you write in the message field.

Request for quote

Your name, company name, company email address, phone number, the list of products you have gathered, and any notes you add.

Post your requirement

Your name, company name, company email address, phone number, your description of what you need, and — if you choose to attach one — a specification or product-list file of up to 4 MB.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to run and secure the site.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, source what you have asked for, and follow up about it. If you request a guide from our resource centre, we use your email address to send it and may contact you about that guide — this is stated on the form itself. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

Your submission is recorded in our own Odoo customer relationship management system, hosted on our infrastructure, where our sales and technical teams work on it. Contact-form enquiries are additionally delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider. This site is hosted by Vercel, product content is served from Sanity, and usage is measured with Google Analytics.

These providers process data only to deliver their service to us. Some of them operate servers outside Saudi Arabia, which means your data may be processed abroad. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. It uses two small cookies for functionality:

• tamooh_guide_access — set for thirty days after you request a guide, so you are not asked for your details again on each visit.
• tamooh-locale — remembers a language preference. While the site is English-only this cookie is cleared rather than set.

Products you add to a quote are kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device, so your list survives between visits. That stays on your device and never reaches us until you submit the request.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, which products are looked at, and how people arrive. It tells us that a page was visited; it does not tell us who you are, and we do not connect it to the details you send through our forms.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by a measurement code) to recognise a returning browser and to work out whether two page views belong to the same visit. It records a truncated IP address, approximate location, device and browser, and the pages requested. Google acts as our processor for this and may process the data outside Saudi Arabia.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off across every site that uses it, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers can also block these cookies directly, and doing so does not affect how the site works.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotations are retained in our CRM for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep commercial records under Saudi law. You can ask us to delete your record sooner.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over HTTPS and submissions travel encrypted. Access to the CRM is restricted to our staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of business contact details.

Your rights

Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law you may ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, or to provide it to you in a portable form. You may also object to how we use it, or complain to the competent authority. Write to sales@tamoohscientific.com.sa and we will respond within the period the law allows.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
