Prepared plates typically carry a shelf life of several weeks to a few months under refrigerated storage, with the exact expiry printed on each pack. This is substantially shorter than dehydrated media, so order quantities should track actual usage.
Refrigerate on receipt, keep them in the original packaging until use, and do not freeze. Allow plates to reach room temperature before inoculation to avoid condensation affecting the surface.
Where the formulation matches the ISO method, yes — with the advantage that lot-to-lot preparation variability is removed. Each lot is released against growth promotion testing, and the CoA is available on request.
