Description
Azide Dextrose Broth is a selective medium for the presumptive detection and enumeration of faecal streptococci in water and food products. Samples are inoculated into single- or double-strength broth and incubated at 36 ± 1°C for 20–48 hours. Growth is indicated by turbidity and evaluated using the most probable number method.
