Description
Potato Infusion Agar is an enriched medium for cultivating Brucella species, including mass-cultivation procedures.
Potato infusion, glucose, beef extract and peptone supply nutrients, while glycerol is added during preparation to support growth.
Specimens are spread over the prepared surface and incubated at 30–32°C in 5–10% carbon dioxide for approximately 48 hours.
