Description
EE Broth-Mossel is a selective enrichment medium for detecting bile-tolerant Gram-negative bacteria and Enterobacteriaceae.
Ox bile and brilliant green inhibit Gram-positive cocci, glucose supports fermentation and the phosphate system buffers the broth.
Samples are pre-enriched, transferred to EE Broth-Mossel and incubated at 30–35°C for 24–48 hours. Positive cultures are subcultured to Violet Red Bile Glucose Agar for qualitative or MPN evaluation.
