Description
M.S.R.V. Medium Base is a modified semi-solid selective medium for detecting motile Salmonella.
Magnesium chloride, malachite green and novobiocin create selective conditions, while the low agar concentration allows motile Salmonella to migrate away from the inoculation point.
An enrichment culture is inoculated onto the surface and incubated according to the PDF. A characteristic migration zone is subcultured to differential agar for confirmation within the ISO 6579 workflow.
