Description
M.R.S. Agar is a selective nutrient medium for isolating and enumerating mesophilic lactic acid bacteria.
The rich nutrient system supports lactobacilli and related lactic organisms, while acetate and citrate provide selectivity against many accompanying microorganisms.
Samples and dilutions are inoculated by the procedure stated in the PDF and incubated under suitable atmospheric conditions. The complete formulation is linked to ISO 15214:1998 and APHA recommendations.
