Description
Nutrient Agar ISO 16266 is a cultivation and confirmation medium for Pseudomonas aeruginosa recovered during water examination.
Peptone, meat extract and yeast extract supply nutrients, sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance and agar forms the solid surface.
Presumptive colonies or the membrane are transferred to the medium and incubated aerobically at 36 ± 2°C for 20–24 hours. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is confirmed with the oxidase test.
