Description
Plate Count Agar is a non-selective enumeration medium for determining total microbial content in food, animal feed, water and other materials.
Casein digest and yeast extract supply nutrients, glucose supplies energy and agar provides the colony-counting surface.
Samples and decimal dilutions are inoculated using the applicable colony-count method and incubated according to ISO 4833 or the selected APHA procedure before colonies are counted.
