Description
Letheen Agar Base is a neutralising solid medium for evaluating the bactericidal activity of quaternary-ammonium disinfectants.
Lecithin and polysorbate neutralise residual antimicrobial compounds, allowing surviving microorganisms to recover instead of remaining inhibited by the sampled disinfectant.
The PDF associates the medium with ASTM E 640-78. Samples are inoculated onto the prepared medium and incubated under the conditions appropriate for enumeration or recovery.
