Description
Brucella Agar Base is an enriched basal medium for cultivating and isolating Brucella species.
The completed medium is prepared with glucose, horse serum and the specified Brucella selective supplement. Inoculated plates are incubated at 36 ± 1°C for approximately 72–96 hours in an atmosphere containing 10–20% carbon dioxide.
Presumptive colonies are examined using the cultural and confirmation procedures described in the PDF, including slide agglutination where applicable. No formal numbered method reference is stated.
