Description
Rose Bengal CAF Agar is a selective medium for isolating and enumerating yeasts and moulds in food and environmental samples.
Rose bengal and chloramphenicol inhibit bacterial growth, restrict rapidly spreading moulds and stain fungal colonies pink.
Samples and dilutions are inoculated by streaking or spread plating and incubated aerobically at 25–30°C for two to seven days before colonies are counted.
