Description
Malt Agar is an acidic nutrient medium for isolating and cultivating yeasts and moulds.
Malt extract supplies carbohydrates, vitamins and growth factors required by fungi. The naturally acidic formulation limits growth of many accompanying bacteria.
Samples or decimal dilutions are inoculated onto the prepared medium and incubated at the temperature and duration stated in the PDF before fungal colonies are examined or counted.
