Description
Motility Test Agar is a semi-solid medium for demonstrating bacterial motility.
Motile organisms spread away from the stab line and produce diffuse growth through the medium, while non-motile organisms remain confined to the inoculation track.
A pure culture is stabbed into the centre of the tube and incubated under the conditions stated in the PDF. The resulting growth pattern is interpreted as part of organism identification.
