Description
S.F. Broth is a selective medium for isolating faecal streptococci and differentiating group D enterococci. Sodium azide suppresses Gram-negative bacteria, while glucose fermentation changes the indicator from purple towards yellow-brown. Turbidity with the acid reaction supports a positive result after incubation.
