Description
Vogel–Johnson Agar is a selective and differential medium for isolating coagulase-positive, mannitol-fermenting Staphylococcus aureus from foods and clinical materials. Potassium tellurite is added to the base; target colonies reduce tellurite and appear grey-black to black, commonly with a yellow zone from mannitol fermentation.
