Description

Clostridium perfringens Agar Base is a selective differential medium for detecting and enumerating Clostridium perfringens.

Sulfite reduction produces black colonies. When the D-cycloserine and 4-MUP supplement is used, the completed medium also supports detection through the fluorescence reaction described in the PDF.

Samples are inoculated and incubated anaerobically according to the applicable workflow. The technical sheet cites ISO 7937:2004, ISO 14189:2011 and ISO 15213:2003 for the stated applications.
