Description
m-Endo Broth is a selective membrane-filtration medium for enumerating coliform bacteria in water.
Lactose, basic fuchsin, sulfite, deoxycholate and lauryl sulfate create differential and selective conditions. Coliform colonies produce a purple or red reaction, often with a metallic sheen.
A filtered water membrane is placed on a broth-saturated absorbent pad and incubated at 36 ± 1°C for approximately 24 hours before colonies are evaluated.
