Description
WL Nutrient Agar is a cultivation and enumeration medium for fungal and bacterial species encountered in brewing and other industrial fermentations.
Casein digest and yeast extract supply nutrients, dextrose is fermentable, mineral salts maintain osmotic balance and bromocresol green provides the pH indication.
Samples are inoculated by pour plating, spread plating or membrane filtration. Plates are incubated for up to three days at 30 ± 2°C for fungi or 35 ± 2°C for bacteria before colonies are enumerated.
