Description
Lauryl Sulfate Tryptose Broth Modified (m-LST) is a selective enrichment medium for detecting Cronobacter sakazakii in powdered infant formula and related milk products.
Sodium lauryl sulfate restricts accompanying organisms, while the modified formulation is completed with vancomycin to increase selectivity for Cronobacter during enrichment.
The sample is enriched in the prepared broth under the conditions specified by the PDF before being subcultured onto the appropriate selective isolation medium. The formulation is linked to ISO 22964.
