Description
Pseudomonas Agar F is a differential medium for identifying Pseudomonas through fluorescein production.
The peptone and phosphate system enhances fluorescent pigment formation, while magnesium ions and added glycerol support pigment production.
A pure isolate is inoculated and incubated at 36 ± 1°C for 18–24 hours, with lower-temperature reincubation where needed. Yellow-green fluorescence under ultraviolet light supports presumptive differentiation.
