Description
PA Presence–Absence Broth is a selective medium for detecting coliform bacteria in 100 mL water samples. Lactose fermentation acidifies the broth and changes bromocresol purple from purple to yellow; gas may also be produced. Samples are incubated at 35 ± 0.5°C for up to 48 hours and presumptive positives are confirmed in the specified coliform medium.
