Description

Letheen Broth Base Modified is a neutralising enrichment medium for microbiological examination of cosmetic products.

The completed formulation neutralises antimicrobial preservatives that could interfere with recovery of aerobic mesophilic bacteria. Nutrients support multiplication of surviving organisms before subculture or enumeration.

The PDF states that the medium is prepared according to ISO 21149. Cosmetic samples are diluted or enriched in the broth and then transferred to the appropriate recovery medium.
