Description
Malt Extract Broth Modified is a basal liquid medium for isolating, cultivating and enumerating yeasts and moulds.
Malt extract, peptone and papaic liver digest provide carbon, proteins and other nutrients required for fungal growth.
The sample is inoculated into the prepared broth and incubated at 30 ± 2°C for 48–72 hours. Turbidity indicates microbial growth.
