Description
Chapman Stone Medium is a selective and differential medium for isolating staphylococci from food.
Its high sodium-chloride content provides selectivity, while mannitol fermentation and gelatinase activity support differentiation of presumptive colonies. The PDF describes incubation at approximately 30°C for up to 48 hours.
Characteristic growth is evaluated using the colony and reaction criteria stated in the technical sheet, followed by the appropriate confirmation tests. No numbered formal method reference is assigned.
