Description
Brucella Broth is an enriched liquid medium for cultivating Brucella and other nutritionally demanding microorganisms.
Peptones, yeast extract and glucose provide nutrients, while sodium bisulfite creates the reducing conditions described in the technical sheet. The broth may support organisms including Campylobacter, Streptococcus and Neisseria.
For Brucella cultures, the PDF describes incubation at 35 ± 2°C for approximately 24–72 hours under normal atmospheric conditions and in 5–10% carbon dioxide. No numbered formal method reference is specified.
