Description
Glucose Salt Teepol Broth is a selective enrichment medium used in a most-probable-number procedure for Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
High sodium chloride supports the halophilic target, glucose is fermentable, methyl violet indicates pH change and Teepol suppresses Gram-positive organisms.
The PDF describes serial dilution, incubation at 37 ± 1°C for 18–24 hours and subculture of turbid tubes to TCBS Agar.
