Alkaline Saline Peptone Water ISO is a selective enrichment broth for Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio cholerae and Vibrio vulnificus.
The high sodium-chloride concentration and alkaline pH favour Vibrio growth while inhibiting many competing microorganisms.
The PDF describes primary and secondary enrichment followed by subculture to TCBS agar, using incubation temperatures selected according to the target Vibrio species and sample condition.
