Description
TOS Propionate Agar Base is a selective medium base for enumerating bifidobacteria in milk products, milk powders and infant formula.
Galactooligosaccharide supports bifidobacteria, magnesium sulfate aids recovery of injured cells, cysteine creates reducing conditions and sodium propionate suppresses accompanying flora.
The base is completed with the specified selective supplement, inoculated and incubated anaerobically at 37 ± 1°C for approximately 72 hours according to ISO 29981/IDF 220.
