Description
Microbial Content Test Broth Base is a neutralising recovery medium for monitoring microbial contamination on equipment, work areas and other manufacturing surfaces.
Lecithin neutralises quaternary ammonium compounds, while polysorbate 80 counteracts phenolic compounds, hexachlorophene, formalin and related antimicrobial residues. This prevents disinfectant carry-over from suppressing viable organisms.
Samples are collected or transferred into the prepared broth and incubated under the conditions specified for the environmental-monitoring procedure. Growth is evaluated by turbidity or subsequent subculture.
