Description
Mineral Modified Glutamate Medium is a selective enrichment and most-probable-number medium for detecting beta-glucuronidase-positive Escherichia coli.
The mineral and glutamate formulation supports the target organism while limiting competing flora. Lactose fermentation produces an acid reaction, and ammonium chloride supports the gas response used in the stated workflow.
Samples and decimal dilutions are inoculated and incubated according to ISO 16649-3 before positive cultures are confirmed or enumerated.
