Description

DRBC Agar Modified is a selective medium for enumerating viable yeasts and moulds in products intended for human or animal consumption.

Dichloran and rose bengal restrict spreading moulds, while chloramphenicol and chlortetracycline inhibit most accompanying bacteria. Zinc and copper salts enhance mould-pigment production.

The PDF states that the medium complies with ISO 21527-1 for products with water activity greater than 0.95.
