Description
WL Differential Agar is a selective medium for isolating and enumerating spoilage bacteria in brewing and fermentation processes.
Cycloheximide suppresses brewing yeasts and moulds while permitting bacterial recovery. The formulation supports investigation of acetic-acid bacteria, lactic-acid bacteria, Pediococcus and other brewing contaminants.
Samples are inoculated by spread or pour plating and incubated at 35 ± 2°C for up to three days under the atmosphere appropriate to the organism group.
