Description
Cystine Heart Agar is an enriched culture medium for cultivating Francisella tularensis and other nutritionally demanding Gram-negative organisms.
The cystine-heart infusion base supplies nutrients required by fastidious microorganisms. The PDF describes supplementation with haemoglobin for cultivation of Francisella tularensis, while the unsupplemented medium may be used for other Gram-negative cocci.
Prepared plates are inoculated and incubated under the atmospheric and temperature conditions stated for the organism being examined. The product is intended for professional in-vitro diagnostic use.
