Description
Enterobacter (Cronobacter) sakazakii Isolation Agar is a selective chromogenic medium for detecting Cronobacter species in infant milk products.
The alpha-D-glucopyranoside substrate produces green to blue-green target colonies, while sodium desoxycholate and crystal violet suppress Gram-positive organisms.
Samples are pre-enriched, selectively enriched in modified LST broth and streaked onto the agar before incubation at approximately 44°C according to ISO 22964.
