Description

Sabouraud CAF 50 mg/L Agar is a selective medium for isolating and enumerating pathogenic and non-pathogenic yeasts and moulds.

Casein and animal-tissue digests supply nutrients, dextrose and acidic pH favour fungi and chloramphenicol suppresses contaminating bacteria.

Samples are inoculated onto the medium and incubated at the fungal temperatures and durations specified by the pharmacopoeial or EN ISO 11133 procedure.
