Description
Chromatic Bacillus cereus is a chromogenic selective medium for detecting and enumerating Bacillus cereus in food and environmental samples.
The completed formulation uses selective supplements containing polymyxin and trimethoprim. Bacillus cereus produces blue-green colonies surrounded by an opaque halo, supporting presumptive recognition on the chromogenic medium.
Samples are inoculated and incubated at approximately 30°C for 18–24 hours before characteristic colonies are counted and confirmed. The technical sheet cites ISO 7932:2004.
