Description
Campylobacter Agar Base is a selective basal medium for isolating Campylobacter species from clinical samples.
The base is completed with the growth and selective supplements and blood specified for the selected formulation. Specimens are inoculated onto the prepared plates to obtain isolated colonies.
The PDF describes incubation for 48 hours at 42°C in an atmosphere containing approximately 5–6% oxygen and 3–10% carbon dioxide. Presumptive Campylobacter colonies are assessed by their stated non-haemolytic and colony-morphology characteristics.
