IsoSensitest Agar is a defined medium for antimicrobial-susceptibility testing of rapidly growing aerobic bacteria.
The controlled nutrient composition and low antagonist levels provide reproducible diffusion of antimicrobial agents and consistent inhibition-zone development.
A standardised inoculum is spread across the agar, antimicrobial disks are applied and plates are incubated according to the susceptibility-testing procedure. Inhibition zones are measured and interpreted against the applicable criteria.
