Peptone Bacteriological is an enzymatic meat hydrolysate used as a general nitrogen source in microbiological culture media.
It supplies readily available nitrogen and nutrients and forms a clear, stable solution with a near-neutral pH.
The powder is dissolved in distilled or deionised water and incorporated into the selected culture-medium formulation before autoclave sterilisation.
