Liver Extract is a dehydrated bovine-liver extract for preparation of nutrient-rich infusion media.
It is produced from hydrated fresh ox liver under controlled conditions intended to retain its nutritional properties. The extract supplies soluble liver nutrients to suitable culture-media formulations.
The ingredient is dissolved in distilled or deionised water and incorporated into the selected medium before autoclave sterilisation.
