Description

Tergitol 1.5% Supplement is a selective liquid supplement used with Tergitol Agar Base for enumeration and identification of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria in water.

Tergitol NP-7 inhibits Gram-positive microorganisms, spore-forming Gram-negative bacteria and Proteus swarming, favouring coliform recovery.

Seven millilitres of supplement are added to one litre of sterile cooled base medium, together with the specified TTC supplement, before plates are prepared.
