Description

Egg Yolk Emulsion is a sterile 50% egg-yolk supplement used in several selective and differential culture media.

The emulsion permits detection of microbial lecithinase activity. The PDF identifies use in PEMBA and MYP media for Bacillus cereus and in TSC or SFP media for Clostridium perfringens.

The supplement is added aseptically to the relevant sterile, cooled medium according to its technical sheet.
