TTC 0.05% Supplement is a liquid redox indicator used to prepare differential microbiological media.
Triphenyltetrazolium chloride is colourless in its oxidised form and is irreversibly reduced by many bacteria and fungi to red, insoluble triphenylformazan.
The quantity added depends on the medium being prepared. The PDF identifies use with Tergitol Agar Base and instructs laboratories to follow the technical documentation for the completed medium.
