Polysorbate 80 supports rapid bacterial growth and supplies fatty-acid functionality in media including MRS, Rogosa, Letheen, Microbial Content Test and Sierra Lipolytic formulations.
The quantity is added to the compatible basal medium before sterilisation according to that medium's specific technical instructions.
