Description
Ringer’s Solution is an isotonic quarter-strength diluent for microbiological sample preparation and enumeration.
The balanced salt formulation prevents osmotic shock while samples, suspensions and serial dilutions are prepared. It can also be used for rinse and swab sampling of food-production equipment.
One vial is dissolved and diluted to 500 mL, distributed and autoclaved. The solution is then used for dispersions or tenfold dilutions before plating.
