Description
Novobiocin MKTT Supplement is a selective supplement used with Muller Kauffmann Tetrathionate Broth for Salmonella enrichment.
Novobiocin suppresses Gram-positive bacteria and selected Gram-negative competitors. One bottle is reconstituted and added to 500 mL of the compatible broth base together with the required iodine solution.
The completed enrichment broth is inoculated and incubated according to the associated Salmonella procedure before subculture to selective isolation agar.
