Description

Cefixime Tellurite Supplement is a selective lyophilised supplement used with MacConkey Sorbitol Agar for isolating Escherichia coli O157:H7.

Cefixime and potassium tellurite increase the selectivity of the sorbitol-based medium. One vial is reconstituted with sterile water and added to 495 mL of the specified sterile, cooled agar base.

The supplement is supplied as ten vials and is intended for professional in-vitro diagnostic use with food, environmental and clinical samples. The PDF does not state a numbered formal method reference.
