VCC Modified Selective Supplement is a selective enrichment supplement for detection of Escherichia coli O157.
Vancomycin, cefixime and cefsulodin suppress competing Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms while supporting enrichment of the target strain.
One vial is reconstituted and added to 225 mL of Modified Tryptone Soya Broth, Buffered Peptone Water or E.E. Broth. The completed enrichment is used before selective isolation.
