Description

Legionella BCYE Growth Supplement without L-Cysteine is a growth supplement for preparing cysteine-deficient BCYE comparison medium.

The formulation supplies the other BCYE growth components but omits L-cysteine. Failure of a presumptive isolate to grow on this medium, alongside growth on complete BCYE, supports confirmation of Legionella.

The supplement is added to the compatible CYE base and used in the comparative confirmation workflow described in ISO 11731.
